Steeping Grains (steeped ~30 minutes until 170F)

  • 1 lb Crystal 15L
  • 4 oz Crystal 15L

Malt Extracts/Additions (boiled for 60 minutes)

  • 9 lbs Pilsner Extract
  • 1 lb Light DME
  • 4 oz Maltodextrin

Hops

  • 1/2 oz Magnum (added once wort is boiling)
  • 1 oz Magnum (flavor hops added last 30 minutes)
  • 1/2 oz Saaz (flavor hops added last 15 minutes)
  • 1 oz Saaz (aroma hops added at end)

Wort Clarifying Treatement

  • 1 Whirlfloc tablet (last 5 minutes of boil)

Yeast

  • Yeast - Safale S-04 11.5g (hydrated for ~10 minutes with ~teaspoon of dextrose)

Fermentation

  • Pour wort over clean ice to cool down and top off with water to 5 gal. US
  • Fermentation period 7 days @ ~70-78F (it's Florida)
  • Estimated OG: 1.067-71
  • Estimated SRM: 7
  • Estimated IBUs: 54-58
  • Estimated ABV: 6.7%
