Steeping Grains (steeped ~30 minutes until 170F)
- 1 lb Crystal 15L
- 4 oz Crystal 15L
Malt Extracts/Additions (boiled for 60 minutes)
- 9 lbs Pilsner Extract
- 1 lb Light DME
- 4 oz Maltodextrin
Hops
- 1/2 oz Magnum (added once wort is boiling)
- 1 oz Magnum (flavor hops added last 30 minutes)
- 1/2 oz Saaz (flavor hops added last 15 minutes)
- 1 oz Saaz (aroma hops added at end)
Wort Clarifying Treatement
- 1 Whirlfloc tablet (last 5 minutes of boil)
Yeast
- Yeast - Safale S-04 11.5g (hydrated for ~10 minutes with ~teaspoon of dextrose)
Fermentation
- Pour wort over clean ice to cool down and top off with water to 5 gal. US
- Fermentation period 7 days @ ~70-78F (it's Florida)
