November 15 2007 - Ruby on Rails

This month's talk will cover Ruby on Rails. Ruby is currently one of the most talked about and popular languages for creating web applications. The Rails framework in particular has tremendous relevance to both Java programmers and general web developers.

Rails is seen by some as a competing technology to Java, at least for a significant subset of web applications and has gained notable converts from the Java programming community. If nothing else, Java developers can learn much from the patterns incorporated into rails and the elegance of its implementation.
