Wednesday March 18, 2009 - Continuous Integration with Hudson

Steve Goldsmith will cover installing, configuring and using a Hudson Continuous Integration server.

CI isn't just for large groups of developers. Small teams and even individuals will reap the benefits of CI.
The ideas behind CI have changed how companies look at Build Management, Release Management, Deployment Automation, and Test Orchestration.

Special guest and esteemed colleague Douglas Rothauser (DDR) (not to be confused with that Ruby guy DHH) will cover some of the issues we ran into while implementing Hudson here at FCCI.
Doug will cover:

· Build/project refactoring using a common Ant build that supports
Eclipse, Hudson and stand-alone builds.
· CVS/CVSNT crappiness and why Subversion rules.
· How to use static code analysis and unit tests to improve code
quality.
