Building JSF Applications with NetBeans and Visual Web Pack

March Meeting
Thursday March 22nd, 6:30-9PM.
Topic: Building JSF Applications with NetBeans and Visual Web Pack
The presentation will cover developing a JSF application with NetBeans 5.5 and Visual Web Pack. The application will be pretty straight forward and easy for everyone to understand. Something not directly related to the JSF application will be the supporting application that gets the data into the database. A Quartz job will retrieve weather forecast information from the NDFD web service and persist that to the underlying tables that the applications will use. This will remove the latency often associated with using web services in real-time applications.
